Open Question: When did these 2008 stories happen?
1. U.S. ELECTION: Obama emerged from Election Night as a decisive victor and a symbol for the world of America's democratic promise. But he reached that point only after a grueling battle with Clinton for the Democratic nomination and then an often-nasty showdown with the McCain/Palin ticket in the run-up to the election. 2. ECONOMIC MELTDOWN: The bad news kept coming — collapses of Wall road giants; huge stock market losses; plummeting home prices and a surge of foreclosures; desperate times for U.S. automakers. It added up to the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression, and will cost the federal government well over $1 trillion in various rescue and stimulus packages. 3. OIL PRICES: The global economic angst produced hyper-volatile energy markets. The price of crude soared as high as $150 a barrel in July before crashing to $33 this month. In the U.S., the average price for a gallon of regular gas peaked at $4.11, then plunged below $1.70. 4. IRAQ: The much-debated "surge" of U.S. troops helped reduce violence after more than five years of war, but Iraq is still buffeted daily by bombings, ambushes, kidnappings and political uncertainty. A newly ratified U.S.-Iraqi security agreement sets a timetable for U.S. troop withdrawal by 2012. 5. BEIJING OLYMPICS: China hosted the Olympics for first time, drawing praise for logistical mastery and condemnation for heavy-handed security measures. The games themselves were rated a success, highlighted by the record-shattering performances of swimmer Michael Phelps and sprinter Usain Bolt. 6. CHINESE EARTHQUAKE: A huge quake in May killed 70,000 people in Sichuan province and left 5 million homeless. Many thousands of kids were among the victims — authorities said about 7,000 classrooms were destroyed in shoddily built schools. 7. SARAH PALIN: Few Americans outside Alaska knew much about its governor when Republican John McCain picked her as his running mate. That changed rapidly. To her conservative admirers, she was a feisty, refreshing change from most politicians; to her critics, she was in over her head, and worthy of every the lampooning she endured. 8. MUMBAI TERRORISM: Ten attackers allegedly sponsored by a Pakistan-based Islamic group terrorized India's financial capital in November, killing 164 people in coordinated attacks on hotels, markets and a train station. India's perennially uneasy relations with Pakistan were badly strained. 9. HILLARY CLINTON: She didn't win, but Clinton came closer than any other lady in U.S. history to becoming a major party's presidential nominee. Her determined primary campaign, waged vigorously even when it seemed a lost cause, inspired millions of women across the country — and helped persuade Obama to pick her as secretary of state. 10. RUSSIA-GEORGIA WAR: The two nations waged a five-day war in August ignited by a Georgian artillery barrage on the breakaway region of South Ossetia. Russia responded with a steer deep into Georgian territory, causing severe economic damage and aggravating already troubled Russia-US relations. THE DATES? thanks

Open Question: Why has mainstream media ignored this Republican and former Treasury Secretary under Regan about Israel ?
From the blog of Paul Craig Roberts Paul Craig Roberts [email him] was Assistant Secretary of the Treasury during President Reagan’s first term. He was Associate Editor of the Wall road Journal. He has held numerous academic appointments, including the William E. Simon seat, middle for Strategic and International Studies, Georgetown University, and Senior Research Fellow, Hoover Institution, Stanford University. He was awarded the Legion of Honor by French President Francois Mitterrand Now Israel is bombing civilians in Israel’s Gaza Ghetto. Nothing has been spared. Not the hospitals, the university, or the kids. Again, President Bush, to America’s everlasting shame, is blocking the civilized world’s attempt to force a halt to the Israeli aggression against the civilian population in Gaza. If only Bush were merely a stand-up comedian. In truth, he is a puppet. A puppet of Zionist Israel. No one any longer listens to Bush’s radio addresses. Three-fourths of the American people cannot wait until the moron’s last Oval Office days are over. But his January 2 speech proves, yet again, that the president of the United States is Israel’s puppet. Americans should be ashamed that their president is a puppet of a tiny, but ruthless, state in the Middle East that lives off American largess. Nothing has changed with the election of Obama, whose first act was to put Israel in charge of the White home. For the first time in its history the Americans have a dual citizen, an Israeli who served in the Israeli military, as chief of staff of the White home. My friends in the Israeli peace movement are despondent that America, "the light of the world," is overcome by bad and serves wickedness. The web address of the Republican who served below Regan the mainstream media will not quote -- http://www.vdare.com/roberts/all_columns.htm The entry that I have quoted titled "The American Puppet State" http://www.vdare.com/roberts/090104_puppet_state.htm Drew That IS the former Treasury Secretary below Regan .......... A Republican and a Conservative ---- The media (mainstream) will NOT quote this guy

Open Question: I don't know what this is called, but I kind of have weird flashes and I see things sometimes?
I'll give you one example. This New Years, I was laying in bed and I nice of just stared at the wall, and saw myself wearing a grey jacket I've never seen before, and also wearing my new black purse, and it was raining. I was walking on my boyfriend's road crying because he must of done something that really upset me and made me feel I had to leave. I also predicted him wearing a white shirt. After I saw that, I decided to not put it off like every my other ones and not ignore it. So I didn't. And just yesterday I was walking home with him and his friends, and I was so upset at them, and trying not to sob, and once we got to his home I blocked them out with my music. And sat there thinking and was about to walk out and leave. I was wearing everything in my vision thing, he was in white, and it was pouring out, and right when I was about to leave, I thought about the thing I saw, and so I just called my sister to pick me up so I wouldn't walk out. Does anyone else receive those things? What are they called? It's weird and nice of freaks me out.

Open Question: What does being a 'diehard' fan actually mean?
Its probably one of the most over used pharses on here...maybe apart from 'Torres' lol Probably more over used than football managers who keep saying "at the end of the day" in post match interviews! Do I not qualify as a diehard fan because I wouldnt die for Arsenal because honestly I would rather watch them play than die.... So what is a diehard fan...do i qualify as one because ive support Arsenal since birth, spend a stupid amount of money on replica kits(which are now every over my bedroom wall), ran down the road screaming when we won the league, cried when we lost the CL final in 2006 and despite we havent won anything for years i still hold complete faith in Arsene.....and i hate Cashley! If you put 'Diehard fan' into Google you just receive the Die difficult movies OQ: Looks like Defoes going back to Spurs...but do you think hes going back for Spurs or for Harry? Rahima....did you say you dont hate Cashley...the Chelsea judas traitor(mobile on vibrator)

Open Question: Please help us! We are too worried for my both cats, they won't stop fighting and one of them sprayed?
Both are female, 2 1/2 years old and recently spayed last Sept. Last thursday one of my cats got into a battle with a road cat that managed to receive in our garden. She was not visibly hurt but her nerves were on flame and her fur stinking like rotten animal. We put her in the home and the other cat started to chase her in a sudden battle, pulling fur and spraying every over the home they both ended up below the bed when we stopped the battle. Vet recommended Acedan, sedative in drops that we gave to both. We locked them each in a room with their food, water and litter tray. They kept on fighting and this morning there were two more ugly fights. I am worried because it seems we can't do too much about. I keep on reading what could we do to manage their stress in such a way that they won't kill each other and be back to be the sweet sisters they used to be before the event with the other cat. Makes me nervous with the one that had the battle because she seems to look for hiding away and she would not even go to the litter or eat by herself. This morning during the second battle she tried to run away from the other by climbing the wall and she failed badly falling i check if she had any pain or hurt but couldn't find anything. But right now I found that she sprayed below the sofa and there are two blood stains in there!! I am so worried as well as my husband. We called the Vet but she won't show up until tonight...! Any advise would be really helpful thanks!

Open Question: Does the Wall Street Journal really believe that saving is bad for the economy?
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB123120525879656021.html The headline for this article in a newspaper that is not supposed to be as economically ignorant as the New York Times is just mind-boggling. "difficult-Hit Families Finally Start Saving, Aggravating Nation's Economic Woes" In fact, the reason why the nation has such severe economic woes is largely due to our abysmal savings rate, the lowest in the world. The conspicuous overconsumption of the last century is finally catching up to us now, as the "great" presidents of the last few decades mortgaged today (at the time, the distant future) in order to immediately consume then. We are finally feeling the effects of the untrue "boom" periods of the past when people threw their money away on junk instead of saving to produce more wealth in the future. Unfortunately, that sophisticated pseudoeconomic justification for irresponsible fiscal policy (Keynesianism) remains widely believed by the press, including the supposedly "intelligent" and "free market" Wall road Journal. The Wall road Journal, although it is not the New York Times, still publishes absurd articles that would be right at home in the New York Times. Does the Wall road Journal really believe that savings is bad for the economy? How can anybody actually believe absurdities like this?

Open Question: What do you think of my writing?
I was sitting in my big, cavernous lounge room on raised floor looking down at the road below from a wall of glass windows. Usually bustling at this time of the afternoon there was no movement, not that I was shocked, if you were lucky enough to be alive you wouldn’t venture into the streets. From my position of the thirty-fifth floor and on a north-facing aspect I was lucky enough to experience bright warmth as the rare sun, untouched on the streets, filtered in through the big windows. I rested my elbows on my bent knees and interlaced my fingers together in a restive motion. I hadn’t left the apartment in three weeks and the solitary confinement was quickly getting to me. I was no stranger to being on my possess and I used to revel in the aloneness in which I found myself after a busy day at school but now it was no longer a privilege. I knew I would die single-handedly here, whether it is from the pathogen which had killed the relax of civilization or purely from loneliness and starvation. Even though this realistic estimation was at the forefront of my mind I still had enough wish to check my emails everyday in desperate search of confirmation that my parents were alive and sending help to receive me out of New York. Having not eaten anything in two days I weakly drew myself up from my sitting position to have a shower. I still had enough esteem and self-respect to keep myself modest. I walked lethargically through the extreme space of my penthouse apartment, my bare feet silent upon the ground, and I haunted the emptiness with my diminutive form, undisturbed and non-threatening of the space about me. My residence had been left as it always was and provided a constant reminder of a life before the pandemic. The only traces of difference would be the unkempt aspect with the fine layer of dust upon inanimate objects and the cobwebs built up in the corners of the high ceilings. It wasn’t until now that I had finally realised the ridiculousness of living in such extravagance. I entered the arched doorway of my bedroom and walked through to my walk in robe and adjoining ensuite. Pulling open the doors revealed a long hallway, shelves and hanging space on both sides filled with numerous clothes and at the end was an area the size of two comfortable rooms containing my bathroom. I touched each piece of clothing lightly with my hands as I made my way down the length of the walkway to the shower. My feet touched the chilly of the tiles and I turned the open shower on, letting the steam fog the mirror and leave a film of moisture on every surface. Stripping off I stepped below the fiercely hot jet of water and let my skin burn below the pressure of what felt like tiny needle pinpricks upon my skin. I did this every night. It numbed any logical thought or feeling and left me gasping for relief in below five minutes. Getting out I wrapped a towel around my waist and wiped the steamed mirror in an effort to receive a reflection. I scrutinized my returned image and found within my structured face a resemblance of maturity and within my lean figure was a new emaciation. It was the first time I had noted a more sickly side to my appearance. Feeling worn and shaken I left the bathroom and wardrobe without drying and sat down at my desk to turn on the console. In my swivel seat I pulled myself around in circles with my feet waiting for the computer to load. Clicking into my emails I held my breath in anticipatory anxiousness to look if my mom had made the effort of contact. The tiny blue font dictated the words one unread mail message and I collapsed back into my seat giving a big sigh. It couldn’t possibly be her I thought ecstatically and built myself up to the point of falling harshly in disappointment. I hurriedly pressed the link and my inbox appeared showing that the email was indeed from my mom. Almost crying in relief I read the shortly typed note and with each progressive word my face fell from a beaming grin to a confused furrow. Had I interpreted it wrongly I thought and clicked the print button letting the email arrive through on plain, crisp white paper. I pulled it away from the printer and took the note back into my previous sitting spot by the window. I read through it again. No, there was no mistake. Slowly crumpling the paper into my hand I dropped it to the floor where it rolled down the raised wooden step to lie unattended and discarded. It felt too difficult to breathe and in a wave of extreme pent up emotion I flattened my fists harshly against the glass with a strangled sob at the back of my throat and gritted my teeth against yelling out. I slammed my fists again and they made a muffled thump, the glass slightly wavering. Droplets of water were cast onto the surface as I shook my head violently and smashed my forehead and the relax of my body onto the glass. Crying silently I continued in my attempt to fall from the window and tumble to my death fr It's definitely not like I am legend. It's more the psychology behind people's actions. (The character finds out that his parents have left him in NY to die, his is one of nine character profiles in my book.) Oh, I'm 18 so that might explain if I have wrong spelling or immature writing.

Open Question: Is a variable interest rate on a loan that only goes up and not down with Wall Street legal. ?
I have a variable interest rate on a loan that increases when the prime interest rate increases past 8 1/4%. When prime goes down, as it is now, the loan interest never goes below the 8 1/4%. I have been told that this is not legal. Does anyone know how I might check this out?

Open Question: OPinons on the issue with this powerbook G3?
I bought a PowerBook G3 (Wall road II) with 266 mHz, it had 4GB i switched it with a 40GB and upgraded memory to 256MB. When I tried to start the computer a floppy disk with a "?" appeared. I did some research and found out the problem most of the time is the absence of a OS. I then ordered Mac OS 10.2. (Jaguar) but then after my cd-steer recognized the disk and the white apple logo appeared the screen dimmed dramatically. Barley visible and my mouse would not work. I then ordered Mac OS 9.0 and 9.2.1. I put the disk in and It started to install and the screen looked fine but then after maybe 3 minutes into the installation it stopped and a low battery sign appeared in my top right corner and then the power button blinked on and off. The Rechargeable battery was inserted the whole time. Then I took out the rechargeable battery to the bottom left of my Wall road and tried to turn on the computer. It got up to the same point (with the stopping at installation) but this time the battery sign had a big "X" on it and the power button blinked again. Is a battery died when only one of the four lights appear when i try to recharge. Would this mean that the rechargeable battery cant hold a charge and should be replaced? Or is it possible the Charger Board has a problem chargering? will the standard ac adapter charge my powerbook? and should just plugging the AC adapter in allow the installation to work? I want to receive the G3 to work and any information or links to this problem would be much appreciated.

Open Question: Please Answer what does this dream?
part 1: i had a dream that my husband and i and are kids lived right across the road from my grandparents in the tiny town they live in and that the paramedics came to my grandmas home and our kids were there also. i did not know the ambulance was there until my husband looked out the window and told me. we both then rushed across the road to look what was wrong and my grandma was trying to bleach something with clorox and she got it every over herself. she had it on her arms. it was like white spots on her arms. we then took the kids and took them back over to the home and then i went back over there to look if she was ok and the paramedics left her at her home and said there was nothing they could do for her to receive the bleach off of her. part 2: then later that night my hubby and i and are kids were leaving from where my grandma lived to steer back to where hubby and i live now and there was a bad snow storm and then the next thing i know my dream merged into this dream. part 3: the dream that it went into was that my hubby this time was driving a semi truck dark blue in color and it was snowing and it was him and i and this other black lady in there who i had never met before. he ended up crashing the truck and the next thing i remember is getting wheeled into the hospital on a stretcher and i was in and out of consciousness. finally when i came to a i saw that i had a gash on the middle part of my outer hip on the right side. i then asked if the kids were ok and that hubby said that they were fine. Somehow i was the only one that had gotten hurt. part 4: then i had a new dream and it was hubby and i were going to look a nutrionist and we went to the office hubby had already called ahead and when we got there we went to the vistiors room where a nurtionist doctor walked in a (old white man with a gray beard) sat down and called us by the wrong names and we said that it wasn't are names and we told him are names. then, we went into a conference room and it had a long dark brown table and 12 chairs at the table. we sat at the end and then students started to arrive in there were more women than men and then school desks appeared on the other half of this conference room and a erase board appeared on the wall. the doctor then started talking about various medical things and we did not have a clue why cause we were still sitting there and he hadn't even helped us. then before i knew it some of the students started to leave and then every of a sudden my husband was gone also and it was just me and a few medical students sitting there. i know that the students did mention something about oprah. that was every of that dream. help what does this dream mean? no rude answers please thanks

Open Question: Is the US willing to become Socialistic?
I currently look so many Americans that want the Govt. to play a bigger part in their lives it makes me wonder if we are willing to slip toward Socialism. We want the govt. to control our major industries, we want the govt. to control Wall road. Even though many are afraid there will be no Social Security when they reach retirement age due to the govts. total mismanagement. So many Americans are ready and willing to allow the govt. to assume control of their health care, even though Medicare and Medicaid are in complete shambles. Just some basic research will reveal that a govt. run health care system does not provide as good of service as we have today. How many people from third world countries try to receive to Russia, North Korea, or China for specialized surgeries? It just seems over the past few years people are more and more ready to let the govt. take care of them instead of doing for themselves. Have we become that lazy as a society? I was NOT refering to Obama or any individual. I was referring to the mindset of Americans. Prior to the 1970's Americans would have never even thought about allowing the govt or take over any portion of their lives.

Open Question: Anyone else heard about this?
Barak Hussein Obama may be the antichrist? The clues that I have read are very interesting. OK here are the antichrist characteristics compared with Obama: 1. The beast (antichrist) will rise from the sea Revelation 13. Obama was born on a Hawaiian island. 2. The antichrist will be different from every the kings (rulers, in our case presidents) before him. Barack is certainly different from every other president. 3. He will be worshipped. Many people around the world actually call Obama the Messiah, the One, Saviour, and I just watched a video with teenagers doing a march and calling Obama, Alpha and Omega. He is the only president in history to be openly declared as a messianic figure. 4. 2 Thessalonians 2 says that the beast will be known as the lawless one. On Nov. 11 2008 Obamas codename chosen by the secret service was "renegade". Renegade means-lawless one, rebel, deserter. 5. The antichrist will start tiny but rise great in power...His power will not arrive from himself. (I think this means he will rise to power by other powerful people). In 12 years Obama went from Chicago community organizer, to US senator, then steamrolled over the Clinto machine with Democratic superdelegates unable to resist him. Obama was supported by Oprah Winfrey, Ted Kennedy, Louis Farakhan, Spike Lee, and much of Hollywood supported him. Hurricane Gustav came and postponed the Republican Convention. Just as McCain got ahead Wall road crashed almost ensuring Obamas win. The night before elections obamas grandmother died (sadly), which would open up a sympathy vote. 6. The antichrist will talk like a lion. Obama is a Leo with an uncanny speaking ability. 7. In revelation it is believed that the figure on the white horse who goes to conquer is the antichrist. In the Quran it is said Muhammad was carried by a white horse. The name of the horse is Burak. 8. Revelation 17:12-13 says that 10 kings (rulers) will receive power from the beast in one hour. The day after election Obama made and received phone calls from 10 heads of nations including the anti American president of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. 9. He will cause great devastation. Obama plans to receive our soldiers out of Iraq (which I want too), but a US general said that if soldiers were prematurely pulled out of Iraq it would cause GREAT DEVASTATION. Now the next clues may seem more coincidenta; but they are none the less amazing. 1. The winning lottery #'s in Illionois (Obamas home town) were a pick 3 and a pick 4. The pick 3 was- 666, and the pick 4 was 7779. 666 is the number of the beast, 777 is the number of completion, and 9 is the number of judgment. And 3+4=7(completion). 2. The bible code has the name Obama found in Revelation 13. This passage is the best descriptive scripture pertaining to the antichrist. I thought these things were very interesting and I am looking at Obama closer now. There is one thing that the bible says about the antichirst that Obama does not seem to correlate with and that is, the antichrist will have no interest in women, but Obama is married with kids.

Open Question: What do you think of the first few paragraphs of my novel?
What are your opinions? I don't have a fragile ego, feel free to be brutally honest. =] I had always been a greedy person. Though I was always aware of everyone’s problems, I never cared enough to help solve them. Instead I offered brief, empty sympathies before immersing myself in more interesting activities. Things that may not help anyone, but they made me glad for the time being. Most people that ever came in contact with me mistook my selfishness for a sensitive soul – troubling things must have brought me down so much that I couldn’t bear to expose myself to them for too long. “CADENCE!” I grimaced as I heard my dad’s irritated bellow escalade up the stairs and through the open door to my bedroom. I turned the book I was reading facedown on my bed and peered into the mirror that consumed the entire wall standing opposite me. I took in my polished appearance: Pin straight, pitch black, layered hair that spilled over my shoulders, nearly reaching my belly button, gray eyes that stood out dramatically against long, thick black lashes, a smooth, pale complexion, tiny pointed nose and chin, slim figure that supported a fashionable top, straight-legged jeans and yellow flats. “Cadence! You’re going to be tardy!” As if on cue I heard a car tug to a cease on the road next to the home. One glance outside of my window confirmed that it was the cab sent for me. I hastily tousled the roots of my hair and checked my makeup before bolting down the stairs.

Open Question: Is it worth fixing my PowerBook G3?
I bought a PowerBook G3 (Wall road II) with 266 mHz, it had 4GB i switched it with a 40GB and upgraded memory to 256MB. When I tried to start the computer a floppy disk with a "?" appeared. I did some research and concluded the problem to be the absence of a OS. I then ordered Mac OS 10.2. (Jaguar) but then after my cd-steer recognized the disk and the white apple logo appeared the screen dimmed dramatically. Barley visible and my mouse would not work. I then ordered Mac OS 9.0 and 9.2.1. I put the disk in and It started to install and the screen looked fine but then after maybe 3 minutes into the installation it stopped and shown a low battery picture i believe and turned off then the power button blinked on and off. Then I took out the rechargeable battery to the bottom left of my Wall road and tried to turn on the computer It got up to the same point this time the battery sign had a big "X" on it. and the power button blinked again after a few minutes through installation. Quick question is the battery dead since i cant start the computer without having the ac adapter in? and the only one of 5 charge lights turn on when I push the button on the rechargeable battery. Can u give me some advice, anything is welcomed.

Open Question: How to eliminate condensation on double glazing?
I live in a end of terrace Victorian home and it suffers from very bad condensation problems. The problem affects the one side of the home but the main issue is downstairs in the lounge where 2 tiny reception rooms have been opened up into one big room. Every morning the bay window and the front bedroom windows are nearly totally covered in condensation. Also a lot of moisture tends to be drawn towards a corner of the wall next to a smaller window. This wall is an external wall to the end of the road and the marking against the wall is black, is very icy to touch and looks like rising wet. I have been assured by the landlord that it is condensation and not wet. There is not a lot of furniture in the room and I have tried the following which appears to have made no difference. I have left the windows open a little to aid ventilation, this isn't that practical as the home is poorly insulated with wooden floorboards upstairs and an open fireplace (without flame!). I have also left the boiler on a low heat overnight to prevent a rapid drop in the internal room temperature. I would like to know if I am responsible for every this condensation as I thought that double glazing acts as a natural ventilator due to the air between the two pains of glass? What can I do? Thanks

Open Question: How do you invest money?
If I have $1,000 and want to invest it somewhere, how do I do it? I don't understand how people make money off the stock market. Can I do it without paying someone? I want to put money in for a few months and look what happens. Is there a website where you can do it for fun that doesn't use real money and can tutor you everything you need to know. Suffice it to say, I didn't do too well in my economics class. I couldn't understand the wall road journal if I tried.

Open Question: writing a girly book please read and tell me what you think?
Candace studied the new girl across the road from out her bedroom window. She had layered blonde hair that she’d swing every five seconds, and her little brothers often irritated her while her little sister sat on the patio playing with her dolls. Who is she, where is she from, is she going to be attending my school? Candace thought. She immediately got jealous once she realized Mason checking her out. Mason is Candace’s crush since sixth grade. She didn’t know what really attracted him to her. Yeah his sparkling blue eyes, dark suffer boy hair, and muscular body. But he’s such a player. Most of the guys followed him around while the girls just drooled over him. Mason played lots of girls. To many that he couldn‘t even count every of them, and was very good at his game. He’ll hook up with one girl and move on to the next. Of course he made Candace heart skip a beat every time she talked to him, and she was hoping he could change Mason cheating ways. She was hoping he’ll ask her out and when he do, he’ll never want to move on. He was stay with her forever! Of course she was dreaming since Mason played more girls than how many years he’s been alive, and instantly had his eye on another one. “Candace!” Candace’s mom Mrs. Harrison called from downstairs. “Coming!” Candace announced as she hurried down the stairs. She happily skipped into the living room to where she found her Mom and Dad sitting with the new family from across the road. The grin on Candace’s face immediately left her face once she spotted the blonde haired girl she was watching earlier sitting on her living room sofa. “Candace sweetie this is the Richie family that just moved into the mansion across the road” Mrs. Harrison stated. “By the way nice home” Mr. Harrison added. “Thanks, same to you.” Mr. Richie said. “Ash what did I tell you about having you cell phone out when were with company?” “Sorry daddy” Ashley dryly said as she slouched down in the seat. “Candace what about you take Ashley up to your room?” Mrs. Harrison suggested. Candace rolled her eyes as she turned around and guide Ashley up to her room. First impressions are very important and right now Candace felt as if Ashley is just a wealthy, snobby, stuck up girl. “Make your self comfortable” Candace said as she opened her room door. “Wow!” Ashley exclaimed. “Is there another part to the room or something?” “No, why?” Candace asked with a confused look on her face. “Oh cause this is only half of my entire bedroom” Ashley stated with a smirk. “Oh well the room is made for one. I don’t have to share rooms with my siblings. Our home is big enough for every of us” “So is mines. What make you think I share room with those kids?” Candace didn’t answer. Instead of talking to Ashley got out her cell phone and decided to call Mason. Ashley studied the room. She looked at the pictures on the wall, the books on the bookshelf, and every the good well, glad birthday, and holiday cards that Candace had received over the year from her friends and family. “A reversible sweater?” Ashley asked as she walked into Candace’s closet. “You actually wore this?” “It was a gift from my grandma!” Candace explained as she snatched the sweater out of Ashley’s hand. “Who were you talking to?” Mason asked. “Ashley” “Who’s that” “The girl who just moved in across the road” “Really? Let me talk to her!” “No!” “Why not?” “…she wouldn’t want to talk to you” “Talk to who?” Ashley asked. “Mason, the guy who stays next door to you” “Yes I do!” Ashley exclaimed. “You can’t talk to her only cell phone” Candace stated. “Well tell her to arrive over to my home” “Were on our way” Candace said before she closed her cell phone. The only reason she was going to take Ashley to Mason’s home is to receive closer to Mason. Candace hopped Mason wouldn’t flirt with Ashley but had a feeling he would. “Coming?” Candace asked. “Where?” “Mason’s home” “Yeah, how do I look?” Ashley asked as she look into the mirror. “How you did when you first got here” “Thanks a lot” Ashley sarcastically said. “No problem” “I guess I look great. Since Mason does want to look me” Ashley shoved into Candace’s face as she walked in front of Candace, out the room, and strutted down the hall as if she knew where she was going. Bitch Candace thought she close her door and followed behind Ashley. “Mom were going outside!” Candace screamed as she grabbed her jacket. “Be back in time for dinner!” Mrs. Harrison called just before Candace and Ashley walked out the front door. They walked over to Mason’s home in silence. Candace made her decision to dislike Ashley. She felt as if she had a bitchy attitude which she couldn’t stand although people tell her she’s just the same. “Hey!” Candace yipped as she hugged Mason tightly. “Mason” Mason said with a smirk as he put his hand out for Ashley to shake it. “Ashley” Ashley stated instea Mason goes after anything. I mean look at her…I have to admit she is pretty. Of course not better looking than me! I’m the best looking girl at school Candace thought. the girls waled into the kitchen. “To tell you the truth…Mason is a pig” Candace started. “You should stay away from him” “Well from my infer he’s a nice guy” “Trust me, I knew him for a very long time. He dumped a girl because she wasn’t…how should I put this… experience” “Oh well I have nothing to worry about cause I am” Ashley stated with a smirk. “Also he dumped a girl because she wasn’t developed” Candace said with a grin. Ashley shrugged her shoulders. “Seriously sometime he’s just every over me. And if you’ll be surprised by the text messages he sends me. Very rated r” “I’m guessing you have feelings for Mason” “I’d tell you that because?” “I only have one thing to say, every' fair in adore and war" i know i have a lot of errors but i was going 2 go over those later thanks 2 all

Resolved Question: Open! Very Important! Do you support Israel's attack on Gaza?
Safa Joudeh is a journalist and resident of Gaza. It was just before noon when I heard the first explosion. I rushed to my window, barely did I receive there and look out when I was pushed back by the force and air pressure of another explosion. For a few moments I didn’t understand, then I realized that Israeli promises of a wide-scale offensive against the Gaza Strip had materialized. Israeli Foreign Minister, Tzpi Livni’s statements following a meeting with Egyptian President Hussni Mubarak the day before yesterday had not been empty threats after every. What followed seems pretty much surreal at this point. Never had we imagined anything like this. It every happened so quick but the amount of death and destruction is inconceivable, even to me and I’m in the middle of it and a few hours have passed already passed. 6 locations were hit during the air raid on Gaza city. The images are probably not broadcasted in US media. There are piles and piles of bodies in the locations that were hit. As you look at them you can look that a few of the young men are still alive, someone lifts a hand here, and another lift his head there. They probably died within moments because their bodies are burned, most have lost limbs, some have their guts hanging out and they’re every lying in pools of blood. Outside my home, (which is close to the 2 largest universities in Gaza) a missile fell on a big group of young men, university students, they’d been warned not to stand in groups, it makes them an easy target, but they were waiting for buses to take them home. 7 were killed, 4 students and 3 of our neighbors kids, young men who were from the same family (Rayes) and were best friends. As I’m writing this I can hear a funeral procession go by outside, I looked out the window a moment ago and it was the 3 Rayes boys, They spent every their time together when they were alive, they died together and now their sharing the same funeral together. Nothing could cease my 14 year old brother from rushing out to look the bodies of his friends laying in the road after they were killed. He hasn’t spoken a word since. What did Olmert mean when he stated that WE the people of Gaza weren’t the foe, that it was Hamas and the Islamic Jihad who were being targeted? Was that statement made to infuriate us out of out state of shock, to pacify any feelings of rage and revenge? To mock us?? Were the scores of kids on their way home from school and who are now among the dead and the injured Hamas militants? A little further down my road about half an hour after the first strike 3 schoolgirls happened to be passing by one of the locations when a missile struck the Preventative Security Headquarters building. The girls bodies were torn into pieces and covered the road from one side to the other. In every the locations people are going through the dead terrified of recognizing a family member among them. The streets are strewn with their bodies, their arms, legs, feet, some with shoes and some without. The city is in a state of alarm, panic and confusion, cell phones aren’t working, hospitals and morgues are backed up and some of the dead are still lying in the streets with their families gathered around them, kissing their faces, holding on to them. Outside the destroyed buildings old men are kneeling on the floor weeping. Their slim hopes of finding their sons still alive vanished after taking one look at what had become of their office buildings. And even after the dead are identified, doctors are having a difficult time gathering the right body parts in order to hand them over to their families. The hospital hallways look like a slaughterhouse. It’s truly worse than any horror movie you could ever imagine. The floor is filled with blood, the injured are propped up against the walls or laid down on the floor side by side with the dead. Doctors are working frantically and people with injuries that aren’t life threatening are sent home. A relative of mine was injured by a flying piece of glass from her living room window, she had deep clip right down the middle of her face. She was sent home, too many people needed medical attention more urgently. Her husband, a dentist, took her to his clinic and sewed up her face using local anesthesia 200 people dead in today’s air raid. That means 200 funeral processions, a few today, most of them tomorrow probably. To think that yesterday these families were worried about food and heat and electricity. At this point I think they -actually every of us- would gladly have Hamas sign off every last basic right we’ve been calling for the last few months forever if it could have stopped this from ever having happened. The bombing was very close to my home. Most of my extended family live in the area. My family is ok, but 2 of my uncles’ homes were damaged, We can relax easy, Gazans can mourn tonight. Israel is said to have promised not to wage any more air raids for now. People suspect that the next step w

Open Question: new york city trip for graduation present?
taking my best friends daughter and my son to NYC for her graduation. She will be 18 and he will be 17. We're trying to make it to as many of the sites as possible but are there some things that maybe they would really be into that we're not thinking of. Meaning something besides the typical NY fare. She keeps wanting to go to "the village" not sure what is meant by this and what would we do in the village. What about some of the other areas like canal road, SOHO, the meat packing area. this trip is for the kids so things that would be interesting to them would be good. We already have planed the statue of liberty, wall road, WTC Memorial area, macy's, rocefeller middle, times sqare, Grand Central Station, The library, United Nations, and of course FAO Schwartz and some shopping is definitely in line. Not sure what museums they would like? Any tips and info would be most appreciated. Also going to be getting a book so that we know we don't miss what we really want to look. Any recommendations on a good one????? We're probably staying a the Holiday Inn Midtown and taking about $1200 for me and my son. Thanks again

I cannot find an e-mail address for this company and think that I should be able to block them somehow from interfering with my using Yahoo. Open Question: What do you say about Georgia now?
Georgia is in 12th place for the most obese state in the country. Last year it was in 14th place, that only means that Georginians are getting fatter and lazier by the minute. It is currently the 6th most unhealthiest state. The public transportation is very needy and subways (No, I am not talking about the food type, genius) do not exist. Most places, other than Atlanta, do not even meet the basic requirements of having sidewalks so I guess that explains the lack of walking and the increase in fatness. A lot of houses are located in a place people refer to as "subdivisions," also known as a rat mazes or dead worm road systems. Traffic remains minimal here, that explains why most Georginians are unable to cross busy streets. These streets are limited, just like when you are roaming a video game environment and arrive across a translucent wall. This whole environment does not prepare you for quick thinking decision, which also explains the needy education that exists in Georgia.

Open Question: How Jewish is Hollywood? ?
How Jewish is Hollywood? http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/news/celebrity/la-oe-stein19-2008dec19,0,2313474.column http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/news/celebrity/la-oe-stein19-2008dec19,0,2313474.column http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/news/celebrity/la-oe-stein19-2008dec19,0,2313474.column I have never been so upset by a poll in my life. Only 22% of Americans now believe "the movie and television industries are pretty much run by Jews," down from nearly 50% in 1964. The Anti-Defamation League, which released the poll results last month, sees in these numbers a victory against stereotyping. Actually, it just shows how dumb America has gotten. Jews totally run Hollywood. How deeply Jewish is Hollywood? When the studio chiefs took out a full-page ad in the Los Angeles Times a few weeks ago to demand that the Screen Actors Guild settle its contract, the open letter was signed by: News Corp. President Peter Chernin (Jewish), Paramount Pictures Chairman Brad Grey (Jewish), Walt Disney Co. Chief Executive Robert Iger (Jewish), Sony Pictures Chairman Michael Lynton (surprise, Dutch Jew), Warner Bros. Chairman Barry Meyer (Jewish), CBS Corp. Chief Executive Leslie Moonves (so Jewish his great uncle was the first prime minister of Israel), MGM Chairman Harry Sloan (Jewish) and NBC Universal Chief Executive Jeff Zucker (mega-Jewish). If either of the Weinstein brothers had signed, this group would have not only the power to close down every film production but to form a minyan with enough Fiji water on hand to fill a mikvah. The person they were yelling at in that ad was SAG President Alan Rosenberg (take a guess). The scathing rebuttal to the ad was written by entertainment super-agent Ari Emanuel (Jew with Israeli parents) on the Huffington Post, which is owned by Arianna Huffington (not Jewish and has never worked in Hollywood.) The Jews are so dominant, I had to scour the trades to arrive up with six Gentiles in high positions at entertainment companies. When I called them to talk about their incredible advancement, five of them refused to talk to me, apparently out of fear of insulting Jews. The sixth, AMC President Charlie Collier, turned out to be Jewish. As a proud Jew, I want America to know about our accomplishment. Yes, we control Hollywood. Without us, you'd be flipping between "The 700 Club" and "Davey and Goliath" on TV every day. So I've taken it upon myself to re-convince America that Jews run Hollywood by launching a public relations campaign, because that's what we do best. I'm weighing several slogans, including: "Hollywood: More Jewish than ever!"; "Hollywood: From the people who brought you the Bible"; and "Hollywood: If you like TV and movies, then you probably like Jews after every." I called ADL Chairman Abe Foxman, who was in Santiago, Chile, where, he told me to my dismay, he was not hunting Nazis. He dismissed my whole proposition, saying that the number of people who think Jews run Hollywood is still too high. The ADL poll, he pointed out, showed that 59% of Americans think Hollywood execs "do not share the religious and moral values of most Americans," and 43% think the entertainment industry is waging an organized campaign to "weaken the influence of religious values in this country." That's a sinister canard, Foxman said. "It means they think Jews meet at Canter's Deli on Friday mornings to decide what's best for the Jews." Foxman's argument made me rethink: I have to eat at Canter's more often. "That's a very dangerous phrase, 'Jews control Hollywood.' What is true is that there are a lot of Jews in Hollywood," he said. Instead of "control," Foxman would prefer people say that many executives in the industry "happen to be Jewish," as in "every eight major film studios are run by men who happen to be Jewish." But Foxman said he is proud of the accomplishments of American Jews. "I think Jews are disproportionately represented in the creative industry. They're disproportionate as lawyers and probably medicine here as well," he said. He argues that this does not mean that Jews make pro-Jewish movies any more than they do pro-Jewish surgery. Though other countries, I've noticed, aren't so big on circumcision. I appreciate Foxman's concerns. And maybe my life spent in a New Jersey-New York/Bay Area-L.A. pro-Semitic cocoon has left me naive. But I don't care if Americans think we're running the news media, Hollywood, Wall road or the government. I just care that we receive to keep running them.

Open Question: Congress will holding hearings on the Madoff scandal. Is this because the victims were their wealthy friends? ?
Congress leaves the middle class and Working Americans who fell victim to bank scandal and outright fraud in the mortgage markets as well as other financial scandals ..to fend for themselves and then have the audacity to BAIL OUT ( with our money) the investment firms guilty of the very fraud...is this because we lack the political connections in congress afforded to the victims of the Madoff Scandal . The morgtage meltdown and financial malfeasance of Wall road apparently wasn't even worth a question or two from these very same politicians who are so quick to arrive to the rescue of their wealthy benefactors. Are we to become the second coming of the fall of The Roman Empire due to inept and corrupt politicians? I think we are in danger of this very fate if only politically connected entities can receive congresses attention.

Resolved Question: Can I refuse to pay my rent to a negligent landlord?
My landlord had my wife and I sign a 5 year lease on our home back in May of 2008. Since then we've had a ceiling cave in which completely destroyed the BRAND NEW carpet. We're talking soot from an old wood or coal burning flame place every over the family room floor and into the dining room. Then we got a letter from the city on property maintenance and general problems for exposed wiring that hangs between the garage and the home (doesn't work). And most recently our landlord had to have our downspouts put below ground because they were exposed from the side of the home, every the way down the driveway, to the road drain. That went well, except he was SUPPOSED to have new gravel put in our driveway soon after. Well, it's now been three months since the pipes were buried and now we have a huge mud slide from our yard into the driveway and off of the end of the sidewalk. My son has sprained his ankle on the step into the driveway and the relax of it is a HUGE MUD PIT. Do I have the right to refuse to pay my rent until the driveway has gravel in it again? There was gravel in the steer when we signed the lease and now there is MUD. What are my legal rights here. I want to file a personal complaint against this guy, but then I don't want to have him retaliate by evicting us. We are a family of four and are struggling just to make bills every month. Please let me know if there's anything I can do to make my landlord take care of the slip/trip hazzard that is now our driveway and to make him put up a retaining wall so that the yard doesn't keep eroding into the driveway every time it rains or the snow melts!!

Resolved Question: Sorry this is long, this is a story i wrote...feedback, help, suggestions?
is this story good so far, about a snowman: Please rate it 1-10 and tell me if i need grammar, help, or give me any suggestions to make it better please thank you! One icy night, I woke up to look that it was snowing. I threw on my puffy, blue jacket and my furry red mittens, slipped on my boots and cap. I ran outside, and it was beautiful. The ground was covered in a white blanket of snow, and covered roofs of houses down the road. The snow fell down quite quickly, but softly. I sat on my porch and stuck out my tongue and caught snowflakes. I sat there for a while, just staring into the white wonderland. Then, after a while, I decided to do something in the snow. It was tardy at night, and everyone was sleeping, so there was no one for me to have a snowball battle with. I made a few snow angels, but within seconds the snow recoated over it. I didn't know what to do. I paced around in the snow for what was only seconds, but felt so much longer. "I know what I will do!" I thought. "I'll build a snowman!" I made a snowball, and rolled it around in the snow so it was big enough for the bottom. Next, I made a ball smaller than the first, but still pretty big. I picked it up and stuck it on top of the bigger ball. Next, I made a ball a little smaller then the second ball I made, but way smaller than the first one I made. I plopped that on top, and soon I was in search of some rocks and sticks. I ran to my backyard and found two sticks, and 7 rocks, 2 for the eyes, and 5 for the mouth. Finally, I was done with my snowman. He looked like he was missing something, though. "A nose!" I suddenly remembered. I ran inside, hardly wiped off my boots, and for this, got yelled at by my mom, ran to the refrigerator, grabbed a carrot stick, and then ran outside. My snowman was nowhere to be seen. I remember making him, smack in the middle of the front lawn, but he disappeared. I wondered how this was possible. I shrugged, and started to make another snowman. "Hey, can you grab me that eye?" someone said to me. "Sure." I muttered picked up the rock, and handed it to the snowman. "Thank you." He said. "Wait a minute." I thought. "Why are you holding my nose like that?" He wondered. "Uh…" I started. I passed the carrot to the snowman and he shoved it in the middle of his head. "Thanks." He said. I guided him into the home, and offered him a seat. He sat down willingly, and looked through the rack of DVDs on my wall. P.S. this IS suposed to be a short story it is 4 skool

Open Question: staying in the know....?
I've got an MP3 player and a PC, so I don't watch TV or hear to the radio, but I also want to stay in the know.... my general knowledge is really bad... I don't know anything about recent music, movies, videos, actors, current affairs, and even things that I should of known from when I was little such as nursery rimes, I just don’t know them. I’m not very good at English so I don’t know any good books or authors, I’m smart, but I’m academically smart, I can tell you what 25*25 is off the top of my head (its 625, just to let you know), I can also tell you the order of the planets in our solar system, what the earth’s air is made up of (including the % of each gas), I can program computers, change file codes and formats, I can tell you every about the wall road accident and the American boom in the 1920, but I don’t know any general knowledge, every I know is stuff that’s in our school exams, stuff I’ve learnt about computers from the internet. But I don’t know anything when it comes to general knowledge… how can I improve my general knowledge without sitting in front of the TV every day? And please don’t just say, hear to the radio more and arrive off your PC more! Any Help Will be greatly appreciated
